Done CanonPriceWatch.com didn’t read that part (kinda overwhelmed by the price!)… This applies to in-store purchases?

    1. October 17, 2013 at 4:12 pm EDT

I don’t know if it applies to in-store purchases or not. If you’re out of NY state you may want to order online to save sales tax.

Wow this is hair ripping material! CPW is it possible that this significant reduction signals a nikon d610 (for d600) style upgrade for 6D by canon?

Hmm. The Nikon D610 was mostly for fixing the shutter in response to the “oil spots” issue that they had on the D600. I’m not sure Canon has anything to fix on the 6D, but you never know!

I think the price reduction is in response to the new Sony A7/A7r. Those are nice full frame cameras and are going to attract potential 6D buyers if Canon doesn’t do anything about it.

Agreed. When I saw this price drop today, I immediately thought of the A7/A7r. At $1600 it’s an exact competitor to the 6D.

I saw the $1574 on iPhone, but when viewed on desktop it says $1899. Maybe it’ll discount at checkout.

Cagle Johnson here’s another option man

My 6D just arrived last week, so I’m expecting prices to plummet if history is any guide! Great deal!

Tony Walls but SD cards. 🙁

    1. October 17, 2013 at 7:17 pm EDT

You’d want those if you got the 5D mk 3 anyway.. it takes both CF and SD.. Can use for extra storage or backup.. Doesn’t SD allow for storage capacities and isn’t it cheaper? I think most cams will go to SD in the future.

    2. October 17, 2013 at 7:18 pm EDT

Was just trying to help you remain cost effective.. I know 5D3 is the way to go.. But didn’t know how fast you were wanting to make a move..

Seeing the 24-70 deal getting over, I rushed to put in an order for two 6Ds at B&H – thankfully I still got them at the deal price.

  14. October 18, 2013 at 2:21 pm EDT

I think the sale is over now 🙁 I went to checkout and the price now says 1899 instead of 1574….ugh why did I wait so long????

    1. October 18, 2013 at 11:39 pm EDT

The sale is still going on — you need to add it to your cart and proceed to checkout.

Both B&H and Adorama are showing $1,895 at check out! ???

    1. October 19, 2013 at 1:07 am EDT

You can’t get to B&H’s checkout until Saturday evening; as of Friday evening they were still running the deal. Adorama is back up to normal price.

    2. October 19, 2013 at 1:07 am EDT

I tried to checkout at B&H earlier today before they shutdown… still $1895…

    3. October 19, 2013 at 1:10 am EDT

Hmm. I guess the sale is indeed over then; either that, or they shut it down going into the weekend.
