New Low: EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM for $1799 AR BuyDig eBay

They’re on a roll: BuyDig via eBay has the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM II for $1799.00, after a $300 mail-in rebate. This is the cheapest price that we’ve seen for this lens, ever. This is a new low price for this lens.

Add to cart to see the $2099 price, then a $300 mail-in rebate.

BuyDig via eBay is an authorized dealer. They’re eligible for the currently active $300 mail-in rebate on this lens. If you’re afraid about the mail-in rebate, note that others have already claimed and successfully gotten the mail-in rebate from earlier sales — many report it took less than three weeks to process the claim.

UPDATE: 168 sold after 11 hours. This is a eBay Black Friday Deal Frenzy deal, so limited time.

Wow! Glad I waited all these months. I almost pulled the trigger on the Tamron version but now with only a $400 difference after MIR, I see no point. This lens is sharper at 200mm and will hold its value well. Thanks CPW for coming through again and again!

I have to say, I never thought we would see it at this price this year. I am shocked!

I think the writing is on the wall. Revenue forecasts don’t look very good for the upcoming year for camera companies and this might be an early effort either by vendors or by Canon to help increase sales now that all the die hard pros have gotten their copies of these fantastic lenses.

I got this Nov/10/2013 for 2199 before rebate. Does buydig price match their sales?

Doesn’t hurt to try. Hopefully yes, you’re still in the return period.

Any ideas why this has gotten so cheap? This is a really low price. Unfortunately I’ve already spent my lens budget for the year 🙁

It’s a Black Friday price. I’m guessing it’s the same price to BuyDig, but eBay runs promotions today and discounts the seller fees, enabling BuyDig to go even lower.

I don’t know. It’s a Black Friday special deal, so my guess is today only.

They could not price match to this deal since it is an Ebay deal.
Of course I need to pay the shipping, but since I live in tax free state, the amazon deal are way better for the shipping cost.
However, I could return it for full refund, and I got the amazon deal with 4% reward.
Thank you for the price notice, and it save me around $150.

What constitutes a sales receipt required for Canon mail-in rebate on this eBay purchase? I have been contacting BuyDig to send me sales receipt but no luck yet.

What people use as sales receipt on this purchase?

    Thanks

I guess you got the lens by now? I got a tracking number from BuyDig a week ago and FedEx shows they haven’t even picked up the shipment yet.

Update: BuyDig says they are getting a shipment from Canon today and will overnight them to the buyers.
