Street Price Drop: 5D Mark III $2699 and EOS 6D $1449 (After Rebates)

We’re really pleased to confirm a $200 mail-in rebate starting on Sunday for the EOS 5D Mark III and EOS 6D. The rebate period lasts for four weeks. We’ve lowered our street prices to $2699 and $1449 respectively (net price after $200 mail-in rebate).

You can contact us now via the street price form and we can help you get your order placed as soon as the rebate starts.

Also included is a rebate on the PIXMA PRO-100, but unfortunately it has been lowered in value. The rebate is now only $350 on a PIXMA PRO-100 printer (when bundled with an eligible camera and paper purchase). This is down from the $400 rebate, and likely makes these bundles no longer such a great deal.

There are also no standalone lens rebates, so sadly the current lens street prices will expire.

If you purchase something through a link on our site, we may get a small share of the sale (at no cost to you). Please read our disclosure for more info.

Pardon my ignorance, but will this be an official Canon rebate? Thanks!

Does the rebates apply on 6D+24-105 kit too?

      Yes, they do.

How do I get best buy to price match it?

I don’t think they can, as this is not an advertised price.

I’m looking at the 6D with the 24-105 kit and seeing the street price listed at $2,239.99. If I were to buy the 6D alone at the current street price ($1,450) and a 24-105 at the current street price ($659) it would end up being $2,109. Will the street price on the 6D kit drop by the $200 rebate amount once the rebate kicks on on Sunday or would it actually be better to purchase the camera and lens separately?

Also, these street prices are really spoiling my plans. I was going to wait until the holiday season to see if the double dips and other deals came back, but now I don’t know if I can wait! That 6D is too tempting I came so close to pulling the trigger on a 135L too, it was so hard to say no at the price it was at during the last rebate period.

Street price will also be $2039 on Sunday. Sorry, we didn’t get a chance to update that one yet. 🙂

The 135L street price was amazing during the rebate — $879. Lots of readers took advantage.

Double dips will only come back during the Holiday season if Canon breaks MAP. If not, we’re going to see many retailers sticking to MAP price.

I just bought a 6d two days ago. Will I qualify for this rebate as well or am out of luck?

No. Where did you buy it from? You may want to consider returning and re-purchasing.

So how does this work? Will all authorized retailers have the 200 off? Is it for US dealers?

    1. August 30, 2014 at 12:16 pm EDT

At midnight tonight all US dealers will update their websites to show a $200 rebate off MAP price, which is $3399 for the 5D Mark III and $1899 for the 6D.

We regularly offer a “street price” service where we can connect you to a US authorized dealer willing to sell for less; this new rebate is stackable with this street price discount. Our prices will be $2699 and $1499 after rebate.

Are these USA cameras with the one year USA canon warranty or gray market cameras?

All our street prices are USA cameras with one year USA Canon Warranty, and sold by authorized dealers, thus eligible for the mail-in rebate.

Excuse my naivete, where would I find the mail-in rebate form? (Or is that only when purchased through CPW?) I purchased at Best Buy and it didn’t include a form. Thank you kindly for your info!
