Cyber Monday Street Price Lenses, Special EF 16-35mm f/4L IS $999

Many body deals last weekend but no lens deals, let’s make one!

We’re pleased to announce a Cyber Monday street price special on the EF 16-35mm f/4L IS USM of $999.99 after the $100 mail-in rebate. This is $50 lower than our regular street price for this lens, and this price is only valid for the next 12 hours.

This ultra-wide angle zoom has been touted to be extraordinarily sharp in the corners, and is a great pair to a brand new full-frame body, if you picked one up recently.

We also have great street prices (but not specials) on other very popular lenses. We don’t expect any changes to the following prices today or this week.

Many other sites are posting a “deal” of the 70-200mm II for $1899 from an unauthorized eBay dealer. We have the same price of $1899 from a reputable authorized dealer after the Canon rebate!

See deal archive for:
If you purchase something through a link on our site, we may get a small share of the sale (at no cost to you). Please read our disclosure for more info.

There are exactly 2 door-crashers left. The next two readers to confirm an order by supplying the requested contact info get an additional $20 off.

Do you think the 100mm f/2.8 L Macro lens will ever be on a good sale?

Street price is currently $799 AR. That’s a pretty good price to me!

So you don’t expect it to go lower? Also what is a street price?

The lens sells for $950. How low do you expect it to go. If you’re buying something in the the Canon 200mm f/2L IS price range, then there’s a bit more room for discount. $799 tax free is a great deal

Hi Amby, no, sorry — you confirmed your order at 4:42 PM ET, which was more than 2 hours after the door-crashers sold out at 2 PM ET. This is already a great special which is $50 lower than our street price.

Please note we never gave any times, just that the first five readers would get the special price (this is an offer graciously given by the retailer, and not controlled by us).

Brilliant lens, if you don’t need 2.8, it is way sharper than the other 16-35 I used to have… Great price!
