Street Price Drop: 70-200 II $1849 AR, 24-70 II $1699 AR, 5D3 & 6D

As a result of the recent and unexpected Canon price drop, we now have slightly lowered street prices. Note that we don’t see the same reduction in street price (as we did in the MAP, or Minimum Advertised Price), as street prices were already more closely aligned to the true product cost.

If you’re new to street prices, please read the street price FAQ.

Did you know? Many street price deals are eligible for the 5% Discover Cashback for online purchases. Please inquire.

Do you know if Canon will come out with a new rebate in Jan-Feb-Mar… after the current one ends?

No idea, but historically the November/December rebates are the largest valued ones of the year.

Might be time to get a 24-70

    “Street price”? What a crock.

What makes you say that? Doesn’t look like you’ve ever done the street price process with us, so not sure how you can say without experiencing.

Why do you say that Kelly Fountain?

No idea, they are not a previous customer, nor have they ever contacted us. I guess some people like paying full price. 🙂

I have always heard positive things on this page, so I was surprised to see it.

wish canon can include the new 16-35 F4 IS in this list and drive the street price lower

Not surprised Canon is trying to stir some kind of interest after watching Sony, Fuji, Olympus, Panasonic, Samsung, et al eat its lunch these last three years while Canon serves up warmed-over refinements of last decade bodies. 4K video? Sorry. Multi-ratio video? Sorry. 30+MP capture? Sorry. Mirrorless leader? Really sorry.

You’re an idiot Joe. Canon could use the smaller megapixels on its 1.6x crop factor cameras and produce a 50+ MP full frame camera if it wanted to. It would produce lesser quality images than the 5D3, 6D or 1D-X, but it would probably impress know-nothings like you.

Could you direct us to your website with all those great pictures you take that couldn’t possibly be duplicated or bettered with Canon equipment?

Canon! Why you gotta drop your prices 2 days after I bought my Tamron 70-200 because of cost difference!?

I’ve purchased items pursuant to the “street price” method and save A LOT of money and had perfectly smooth transactions. Thank you!

Hoping the prices hold through next week. I was planning to upgrade to a 7D MkII this month, but with the current street price after rebate for the 6D with the 24-105mm f/4L the temptation to upgrade to full frame AND L glass for about the same price without even going grey market is too good to pass up! You guys are great!

You’re welcome, and thanks for mentioning us on the UHH forums (although those users don’t seem to realize they have to fill out a contact form to get street price.)
