Happy New Year! The following Canon USA rebate, pricing, and promotion changes occurred at midnight (as expected):
- Instant rebate reduction. As expected, 11 lenses had their instant rebates reduced. The lenses have gone up in price by $50 each, with the exception of the EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II which has gone up a whopping $150.
- Free Canon CarePAK Plus promotion expired. It looks like the free Canon CarePAK Plus promotion was not extended, and it expired on December 31st, 2016.
- Multi-lens mail-in rebate was extended. Canon USA has done a surprise last-minute extension of this popular rebate of up to $100 per lens (when you purchase two or more lenses in the same transaction). The extended rebate now expires February 4th.
- Printer mail-in rebate renewed. As expected, the PIXMA PRO printer rebate was renewed with a new rebate period of January 1st – January 31st. As it was renewed with a new promotion ID, this “resets” your eligibility and you can take advantage of an additional printer or printer bundle deal during January (even if you purchased one during November or December.) There are several bundle deals still live. The 5D Mark III Bundle and the 6D Bundle are the same price as before; however, the very popular lens bundles increased in price due to the instant rebate reduction.

any word on the 6D MK II
I want them all!

Do you know if lenses purchased at Adorama or B&H with the free accessories qualify for the canon rebates on 2 or more lenses? I don’t see why not, but I was curious as the customer service at the store did not know.
