Hot: Buy PIXMA-PRO 100 Ink Set, Get $1150 Free 13×19″, 8.5×11″

This ridiculously hot deal is back from the Canon Direct Store. When you buy the 8 CLI-42 (for PIXMA PRO-100) ink tanks individually, you get 24 “free gifts” of photo paper, totalling 440 sheets of 13×19″ (in semi-gloss, pro-lustre, and pro platinum), and 600 sheet of 8.5×11″ (in pro-lustre and matte).

The individual ink tanks cost $16.99 each for a total of $135.92, not much more expensive than buying the combo kit for $124.99. The (inflated) retail value of all the free paper is $1159.76, which makes your sales receipt look really silly.

This is a similar deal to the previous free paper deal which sold out very quickly. This deal ends on March 19th.

They also have a similar deal on PIXMA PRO-10 ink.

You can also use coupon code EIDPRM to get an additional 70 sheets of paper and free 2-day shipping. You will need to group your order in groups of 4 cartridges to be eligible to use the coupon code. (Thanks, Dustin!)

    Thanks Gordon,

This is a great deal! I’m still drowning in paper from the last deal, so I’ll wait until the next time 🙂

Needed more ink. Didn’t need more paper but might as well buy the ink when the paper is free.

    Curious about this platinum paper.

It’s a great deal indeed. But I still haven’t found a place to put all the paper I got in December. The giant boxes that arrived were crazy! 😀

Use code EIDPRM to add an extra 50 sheets of 8.5X11 matte paper and 20 sheets of 5×7 Glossy II

Thanks! I bought a set of the Pro-10 inks and got a ton of paper free! Now when will Canon have the 5D Mark III as a refurb? 😎

When I follow the links, it just says, “Receive 6 FREE Gifts when you buy 1 Pro Combo/Value Pack or 2 Pro Individual Ink Tanks”, but I can’t find any details about WHAT the 6 free gifts are. Where do you see the details?

If you add 2+ individual tanks to your cart you will see the what the gifts are in your cart.

it says “We’re sorry but the free gift associated with an item in your cart is currently out of stock. If you still wish to purchase this item without the free gift, please click the “Start Checkout” button below.”

Does this mean we don’t get the free gifts

CLI-42BK Black is backordered as of 2 PM central time.

It’s a great “deal” until you consider that it’s actually a ploy by Canon to sell their ridiculously expensive ink. It’s like giving an addict 100 crack pipes and 1 rock. There’s enough ink in one of those tanks to print about 1-2 packages of the 13×19 paper. Granted… The prints look great but damn I wish I got more from a tank.

Some of the free gifts are now showing out of stock at checkout. Looks like no Platinum 13×19 available and they are not back ordering it as a free gift.

  13. March 14, 2017 at 9:58 pm

They’re out of the pro platinum paper.

I’m assuming they are out of the 13×19 Pro Platinum, and the 8.5×11 Pro Luster. Neither of those appeared in my cart after adding the 8 ink cartridges.

I continue to get the heavy boxes damaged by the delivery carrier. When they toss them on the edge during the delivery process, there goes the 13×19 paper. I got 2 orders with good dents in the corners of the 13×19 packages. So then I went to call up the carrier just to complain about the ongoing poor damaged deliveries. Next is calling up Canon to get some replacement.
