EOS 5D Mark IV Street Price is $2999, Bundles Available

Our most popular street price continues to be the EOS 5D Mark IV, at an excellent price of $2999. Please note that at the $2999 price, the camera does not come with the free 13-month CarePAK Plus, but does have a 1-year Canon USA warranty. We also have options that include the free 13-month CarePAK plus extended warranty for slightly more ($3069). Inquire for details.

Rumors of the upcoming EOS 6D Mark II launch have actually increased recent interest in the EOS 5D Mark IV; with only a $1000 delta between our street price and the rumored launch price of $1999 for the EOS 6D Mark II, the EOS 5D Mark IV is still looking like a great choice, with differentiating features such as 4K and dual memory card slots.

You can also consider several bundles (some are publicly advertised) for the camera with valuable accessories or add-ons:

I love my 50d`s iam a professional photographer .and have no use for a full frame or movie dslr….my 50d`s will do everything a professional will need coupled with Canon “L” lens

It depends on what you are shooting. The 50D is not fast enough for sports photography and lacks in dynamic range.

Not going to bash or poke fun. I have a 40D works great in well lit area and is great for shooting outside sports. I also have a 60D. But i think your crazy to say you have no use for a full frame DSLR. I have been shooting a 6D for the past year and im getting shots in low light i never could have gotten with my 40D or 60D so if your shooting a 50D your in the same boat.

have used a 40D and 50D (current service body) – 50D has not failed in the field but the 40 had a separated mirror box which was serviced in 2011

Your opinion is respected… I also once shot professionally (I got paid for it) with a T3i, and I didn’t know why people had anything more expensive, besides “I am the artist, not the camera.”

Then CPW had the links for the “Halloween Massacre” where I got the 70D Kit for like $900 refurbed, sold the lens for $300 and had a new body that only because of the autofocus paid for itself…. and the camera allowed me to provide a much better service to my clients.

… and then CPW did it again, around December a few years back where coupons stacked at Canon, and I pulled the trigger on a 5D Mark III for about $1,600… and then I realized that more power, more focus points, higher ISOs, just means better chances that your shot will be right.

I still shoot with a 70D, and I have a 5D and a 6D… and am telling you, while you can be a photographer with a point and shoot…. it is definitely a great advantage to have a FF with better bells and whistles.

Cole takes every chance he has to point out how happy he is with what he’s got. We should all be so lucky.

@Kurt Scherbaum – 50D can shoot up to 1/8000 sec, how is that not fast enough for sports? I would bet the AF system makes it hard to get a good amount of keepers though, especially compared to the 5D’s 61 point cross type focus.

They need to do a real breakthrough price on the 5DIII. Why can’t they?

Wish mine would focus where the focus is selected, I wonder if there are any lemons out there, think I found one.
