Super Hot, Live Again: EOS 80D + PRO-100 $849 AR BuyDig eBay

This super-hot deal is live once again — but not for long.

Authorized dealer BuyDig via eBay has a bundle of the EOS 80D and PIXMA PRO-100 for only $849.00, after a $350 mail-in rebate. You also get a free memory card. Click here to check out the deal at BuyDig via eBay. This is the lowest price seen yet for the EOS 80D. The body alone goes for $1199, this is a $350 discount and a free printer!

We expect the new MAP restrictions to take effect this weekend. Retailers will no longer be able to advertise low prices for printer bundle deals. This bundle will go up in price to a minimum of $1549 before rebate ($1199 after rebate.)

Then the new restrictions don’t make any sense. Why would any one go for the rebate if the price for the camera is the same after the rebate. I would just pay for the camera directly. If they are doing this, then they should just not have camera+printer rebates. They very well know that people are not buying these combos for the printer.

The restriction is a marketing strategy to persuade people to buy Canon NOW instead of later. The whole thing about giving free printers is that Canon can continue to profit from the ink cartridges. Many of these camera + printer combos were said to be promotional specials since November last year (limited time only)…we are still seeing these kind of promotions now, which means it is their regular price all-year-round.

Canon has to bring the price down again later, otherwise people will choose Nikon or Sony. The innovations Canon put on its new cameras are far more less than Sony, if canon is not going to bring price down, less people will buy.

To be honest, I’d rather they give me free lens hood, you know, as things supposed to be.

Anyone here ordered from BuyDig before? They seem large enough to be reputable, and are Canon Authorized, so I would think that it’s decent. These long handling times are sort of making me worried, though. Today’s shipping confirmation email that only listed the Pro-100 didn’t help…

Scratch that, just got my confirmations. Separate emails, I guess it’s all shipping separately.

I got mine today with two separate shipments – FedEx and the camera got USA warranty cards.

My printer is yet to arrive. Am I screwed if I don’t get it by end of this month, since I must post mark the rebate form by end of May? Got an invoice from Buydig marked for Late April.

That seems unusual. Have you asked BuyDig what the hold-up is?
