Bundle Deals Live Again, including 70-200 II $1649 AR

If you missed out on the 70-200 II printer bundle deal at Adorama (it went up to $1699 AR on January 1st) — you get a second chance, BuyDig still has the EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM II + PIXMA PRO-100 for $1649 AR (use coupon TMAFPRO216217 to see $1899 in-cart, then get $250 MIR).

We’re moderately surprised to see many of the PIXMA PRO-100 printer bundle deals still live. As expected, the PIXMA PRO printer rebate was renewed with a new rebate period of January 1st – January 31st. As it was renewed with a new promotion ID, this “resets” your eligibility and you can take advantage of an additional printer or printer bundle deal during January (even if you purchased one during November or December.) The printer can be parted and sold for about $140 on the secondary market.

This gives a fresh opportunity to take advantage of one of the existing printer bundle deals.

I continue to have the question – the MIR is for the printer/paper… not the lens and never even asks about the lens on the rebate form, correct? So in theory, I should be able to buy a second lens and then get the lens rebate as well? Anyone see any failure in the logic?

You’re right. You can add lenses to the purchase and take advantage of both rebate programs.

I’d stay away from Buydig though. They have had some poor customer service and haven’t met shipping targets at all lately.

First of all, Adorama jacked up the price of the 5D III comb and now pulled the deal altogether….According to the Canon rebate I downloaded 2 days ago, the 5D III printer combo was at $2149 after rebate should be good through Jan 31st…What the F–K!

The *rebate* expires on Jan 31st. The deal was pricing that was always at the discretion of the dealer.

I recently purchased this combo and submitted the rebate request with necessary proofs. I just got back a letter today saying that they will not honor the rebate. I tried calling and they have an automated voice saying the office is closed. Is this kind of a scam? I have never purchased before from Adorama, so I dont know what to do with this. Any advice please? Thanks.

First of all, it’s not a scam…I bought from Adorama two 6D combo before, and I got my rebates twice. Did you call Canon or Adorama? You should be talking to Canon….

Call the Canon rebate processor on Monday. They’ll explain why they rejected it, and you’ll get a chance to redo it.

What was the reason they say they will not honor the rebate?

Thanks guys for the assurance. It says “an itemized receipt is required and both products and price per product must be included”. I did send them the original invoice that Adorama sent me. I dont know what else they might be looking for. I tried calling up the number on the letter, but it went into a voice mail which said the office is closed for inclement weather. Didnt sound very convincing I must add. I have been doing MIR quite consistently on many things, but this is the first time I encountered such an issue, so wanted to check the legit.

When I sent mine in I printed off another receipt from Adorama as my original invoice made no mention of the printer. I’ve yet to get mine back though, but it’s only been about two weeks.

Purchased my 6D bundle January 2. Extended rebate dates aside, figured this deal was too good to last. Thanks for the heads up on this one CPW.

Just a small update to my previous post: Canon has approved my rebate request. So all is good there.
