EOS 1D-X for $4799 (Import) eBay, or $5299 AR Street Price

Today’s eBay Daily Deal is from BigValueInc via eBay, they have the Canon EOS-1D X for $4799.99. This ties for the lowest price we’ve seen on a brand new (import) EOS 1D-X.

BigValueInc is a reputable unauthorized dealer who has been a source of reliable deals over the last few years. They have a 99.3% feedback score on high-value Canon items. This is an import version (physically identical to the US model, but not intended for the US market). A Canon USA warranty is not guaranteed, so the store provides a warranty instead.

If you prefer instead a Canon USA model with guaranteed 1-year Canon USA warranty, please consider our street price of $5299 AR from an authorized dealer.

“Reputable unauthorized dealer”? Isn’t that an oxymoron?

They are an unauthorized dealer, that is, they are not a “Canon authorized dealer”. They are simply a reseller who has purchased the cameras in another region and imported them to the USA. The store is reputable, in that you will get the camera you paid for, no upsells, it is brand new, and their customer service resolves any issues in delivery & defective products. Too good to be true ? It’s probably is. I’m sure they will sell it for you but they don’t have it cause it’s on “back order”

This isn’t a bait and switch store, these are reputable but unauthorized dealers. Our readers have had good experiences purchasing from them.

Yes, Canon will take import bodies for repair after one year, provided you pay them (just like USA models will have to pay too).

Our readers report no problems registering import bodies/lenses for CPS.
