5D Mark III: eBay $2329, Bundle $2499 AR, Street Price $2469 AR

Prices on the Canon EOS 5D Mark III continue to edge downwards. The $300 mail-in rebate expires on January 3rd, 2015, and we don’t think it will be renewed at its full value.

Get It Digital via eBay has the Canon EOS 5D Mark III for $2329.00. This is gray market / import. This is the new lowest price ever seen for this camera (body only).

Authorized dealer Adorama has a bundle of the EOS 5D Mark III and many sweeteners: a PIXMA PRO-100, LP-E6 Battery, Adventura 170 Shoulder Bag, Lexar 64GB SD card, warranty, and software for $2498.99, after a $600 mail-in rebate.

Finally, if you don’t need a printer, we continue to have our 5D Mark III street price of $2469 AR, brand new from an authorized dealer with full Canon USA warranty.

New body coming soon? Or is this reaction to Nikon 610 and 750?

    1. December 23, 2014 at 1:10 am EDT

Likely both a reaction to Nikon’s rebates, as well as to import body prices (due to Yen vs. USD changes over the last 6 months).

Yes i do believe prices are droping cuz of 3 things!!
      1 grey market prices
      2 the competition rebates
3 and cuz rummors are the new model mk4 coming out on march 17
So i do believe canon will drop prices even more and also the rebates would continue, sames happens everytime a new model come out as you can see 7d is cheaper cuz of the new model and even from before come out prices drop alot, im waiting for the price to drop more to pull the trigger:) but is just my opinion and what i do think will happens!!! So just gonna wait!

The Adorama deal is now $50 more — up to $2498 — because the ‘paper’ part of the deal is no longer valid.

Looking forward to the release of the 5D Mk IV or even better still the much rumored and anticipated 3D!!

  7. December 23, 2014 at 4:08 pm EDT

Looks like the rebate is now $600 @ Adorama . Just called and they confirmed it is $650.

    1. December 23, 2014 at 4:26 pm EDT

They are sold out of paper, so you can only get the $300 (not $350) rebate for the printer/camera bundle.

Since when? I ordered it this morning.

    3. December 23, 2014 at 4:29 pm EDT

Calling to see if i got the photo paper at the time with the bundle.

    4. December 23, 2014 at 4:32 pm EDT

Since about noon. If your order has the free paper on it you’re getting the $650 rebate.

    5. December 23, 2014 at 4:41 pm EDT

Thanks!!! I think i made the deadline since I ordered at 8am Central Time. The email doesn’t show all the details. I am calling and they are saying the photo paper was not part of the bundle. So a manager will clarify all this.

    6. December 23, 2014 at 4:43 pm EDT

I am so sure the price after rebate was $2,449 when I bought it this morning. when i checked again it changed with no photo paper as you mentioned.

      So, crossing my fingers here.

When the IV comes out how much lower do you think the Mark III will be?

    1. December 23, 2014 at 8:30 pm EDT

Not lower at all. The only way for it to be cheaper is if you can somehow get it at the canon refurb with the 20-25% off. If it’s in stock and it usually goes oos very quickly. The mark iii will come down on USED gear (like craigslist). But people would be asking way too much for their used mark iii that this should only be no more than $400-$500 more expensive than buying the mark iii used. (I’m guessing the used mark iii will be prices somewhere around 1700-1800) when the mark iv comes out.

    1. December 24, 2014 at 11:53 am EDT

      Just because you’d want a GH4 doesn’t mean everyone wants a GH4. 🙂

  12. December 24, 2014 at 12:35 pm EDT

Opps! Your right, i meant only serious cinematographers want the GH4.
