Refurb Sale on Lenses is Over! Street Prices on Lenses Still Available

The Canon direct store refurbished sale (15%-off) is now over, without any restock. In the end, less than 20 each of the desirable lenses were sold during the sale. As there are thousands of people waiting for a restock on each of those items, it’s no wonder these sales are nicknamed “lens lotteries”.

If you’re still looking for a lens before Christmas, we still have great street prices available — these are brand new from authorized dealers, should ship Monday, and no tax charged to most states. The mail-in rebate ends on January 3rd; historically the December rebate has been the best rebate of the year. We don’t have any info on a possible extension, but our one data point is last year’s December rebate was not renewed in January.

Also consider some great street prices on bodies, or check out our run down of advertised holiday deals.

If you purchase something through a link on our site, we may get a small share of the sale (at no cost to you). Please read our disclosure for more info.

Historically, these are STILL some of the best prices ever seen. Sometimes we look at the refurb prices and anchor our price bias downwards. If you want/need and can use one of these products now, these street prices are the way to go!

Agreed. I tried to play the lens lotto, but no dice last night. I have a sore finger from refreshing the 70-200 f2.8L IS page to no avail! But I just took advantage of the street prices to get this lens at a great price ($1850 after rebate, no tax or shipping! Better than Canon ‘s current refurb price, if they were in stock) So, many thanks to CPW for keeping us informed and entertained! Now let’s go shooting!!!
