Hot, New Low: 5D Mark III (Import) for $1899 / $2499 with 24-105L eBay

Hot eBay deal: Get It Digital via eBay has the Canon EOS 5D Mark III for $1899.00, and the Canon EOS 5D Mark III with EF 24-105L IS Kit for $2499.00. These are the lowest prices we’ve seen yet for the 5D Mark III in body-only or kit form!

Get It Digital via eBay is an unauthorized dealer, so this item is likely grey market. As usual, a Canon USA warranty is not guaranteed, but is typically honored by Canon USA anyway. The store provides a 1-year store warranty. Please note the store does try to upsell you to a “USA model”, please stay firm and insist they process your order at the original price.

This is the first unauthorized dealer price drop on the 5D Mark III since March of this year; until this drop the import body price has been pegged at $1999.

To bad I’ve heard bad things about that seller

The only bad thing we’ve heard of is the upsell call. If you can disregard that our readers report a smooth transaction. They have 99%+ eBay feedback.

Getitdigital is a best seller. Very responsive. I got three cameras from them, all genuine and perfectly working. I recommend getitdigital if u want to for lesser price.

So the only bad part is the trying to upsell? This store seems to have mixed reviews, debating on pulling the trigger and getting it….

A week ago I ordered for the first time from Get It Digital (actually I ordered from them in error). The good thing is the imported lens came in two days and was as advertised, Good so far.

Two days later I received another shipment containing the same imported lens with the only identification was on the shipping label. It didn’t say Get It Digital nor could I find the company on a Google searched. I sent an email to Get It Digital saying I now have two lens but I can’t contact the second company.

To my surprise I received a third imported lens on Monday, this one again came from Get It Digital with a receipt that said “no charge”. Again I sent an email to Get It Digital relating my situation, but it was the Jewish holiday. Waiting to hear back from Get It Digital.

So far I have only paid for one lens. Odd situation.

Perfect timing. I was going to buy a 6D for $1,200 but with a better AF the 5diii seems like a no brainer for $600 more.

When you say import, you mean grey market?

    1. October 1, 2015 at 7:55 pm EDT

As noted in the post, yes, this is likely grey market.

grr… soooo tempting… biggest decision is whether to get the 24-105L option or go body only and get the better Tamron 24-70… Just wish I knew what the specs for a 5D4 would be…

Yea better hope you don’t have to have the camera serviced ever because Canon will tell you to get stepping, because it’s grey market.

    1. October 8, 2015 at 8:32 am EDT

Actually, Canon USA has historically serviced grey market cameras under warranty. Of course, this is at their discretion and they can change their policy at any time, but they are more lenient than other camera manufacturers such as Nikon.

I was on Canon’s web site yesterday and I got the feeling from looking at the page on grey market equipment that there getting less likely to service these goods. It’s up to the consumer though if you want to take the risk it’s your call. As for Nikon there costumer service always has sucked and there sue happy too, just look at what they did to Sigma, that’s one of the reasons I’ve stuck with Canon for years.
