AllNewShop via eBay has the Canon EOS 7D Mark II for $1099.00. This ties for the lowest price we’ve seen yet for this camera brand new. This is a grey market import, but the seller indicates that it comes with a 1-year store warranty. Canon USA is historically known to honor the warranty on grey market bodies, but this is at their discretion.
AllNewShop via eBay is another storefront for GetItDigital, they are quite a reliable eBay dealer with 99%+ feedback score. The only complaint that we hear is they will call you and attempt an “upsell”, stay firm and insist they process your order at the $1099 price.
If you’d prefer an authorized dealer, consider the B&H Bundle Deal of the EOS 7D Mark II + PIXMA PRO-100 for $1249 after a $350 mail-in rebate. The B&H deal also includes a free Canon “CarePAK Plus” extended warranty.
We’re also predicting that grey market prices on this camera may fall slightly during Thanksgiving week or Cyber week, so you may want to sit tight (and setup some notifications.)
I recently bought a 5D III from this seller and he called offering an upsell to a US model for an additional 100.00. He tried to tell me that the import models my have been assembled in a different country than Japan. I turned it down and stuck with the original import model but when I received my camera it appeared to be the US model in a US box and it even registered for warranty on cannon’s website. My camera was made in Japan, from what I know all 5D III are made in Japan, and it was brand new. It is a great deal at a great price $1900.00 with a double warranty, one from canon and one from the seller.
Yes. As long as you decline the upsell, you will be fine. It is a great deal, and as you say, in addition to the store warranty you may also get a Canon USA warranty.
Most Canon bodies are made in Japan (both US model and grey market versions.)
so what exactly is a grey market/import??
Made for release in other countries, usually Japan, and not with a Canon USA warranty. Exact same camera.
Will this sale most likely go on through cyber Monday or just Black Friday?
