Sigma has made two long-awaited lenses available for pre-order. Both are expected to ship (in limited quantities) tomorrow.
First up is the Sigma Art 14mm f/1.8 DG HSM for $1599.00: faster and more affordable than Canon’s own EF 14mm f/2.8L II USM (street price: $1989), this lens is stellar for astrophotography.
Next is the optically stabilized Sigma Art 24-70mm f/2.8 DG OS HSM for $1299.00, which competes head-to-head with the Tamron SP 24-70mm f/2.8 DI VC USD (street price: $999 AR). The lens looks decent in optical tests and we’re eagerly awaiting the real reviews to see how it stacks up vs. the benchmark Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM (street price: $1499).
