If you missed the flurry of recent 6D deals, there’s still two of note: Best Buy has the Canon EOS 6D for $1574.99. You also get a free camera bag. Unfortunately this doesn’t come with as many bonuses or rewards as the previous sales, but is still a good price for this full-frame body.
Another option is the Canon Refurb Store: they’ve lowered the price of the Refurbished EOS 6D to $1519.20 (from $1599).
All these 6D price drops and deals suggest that Canon is feeling the heat from both the recent D600 price drop (now $1679) as well as the recent Sony A7 announcement (at $1698). Is this a sign that more 6D sales are on the horizon?
I tried both and wish that they’d drop the price on the MkIII, 6D doesn’t cut it for me 🙁
The recent drop to $3099 for 5D3 body is a start — I’m hoping to see another $2750-$2800 authorized dealer deal, or perhaps the return of a $2499 unauthorized deal.
I won’t be able to make a reasonable go at it until it gets into the mid $2k range. Will need to replace/upgrade glass to keep the same lens set as I have on my 7D.

Competition is a very good thing !!
nothing beats a good old full size camera in your hand like the 6D because it does not feel like your holding a toy camera like the Sony A7
After shooting with the 5D2/3 for years, I now find anything smaller than it is hard to use!
I find small cameras harder to handle but that’s just me and I always have one of my cameras with me all the time
Best Buy does have 2% rewards (sign up as a member), and an additional 3% if using Best Buy credit card to make the purchase. Plus some more if you are elite or elite plus member. This is true for anything you buy at Best Buy and not just for this deal.
