It still says “waitlist available” — from personal experience that works quite well as many people change their mind and cancel their order.

Tried to get one of the flash cards immediately when they went up. 100% gone at the start. Snipers or automated shoppers perhaps?

Same thing, went to get an SDHC card at 1040 when it became available, and already gone. Did they only have 1 of them to sell at that price. I think I will be cancelling my trial Prime membership, not very impressed.

  6. July 15, 2015 at 11:23 am EDT

Amazon list this as “Mystery digital camera bundle”. Do the homework and clearly is the Rebel SL1 with 18-55mm STM kit with 16GB SD Card and bag bundle. Camera model is hidden probably because the MAP. So… deal on a higher model will be possible?

Nice that they found a way around MAP. It’d be awesome if we saw some good deals on other models, though I doubt they will go lower than street prices on here anyway.

Definitely a work in progress for Amazon. I like this idea but they’ll have to support it better for it’s loyal Prime members.

They keep adding more stuff all the time! Lots more listed than there was even earlier this morning. Starting at 11:50 ET (10:50 ET) is the Yongnou YN600ex-rt Speedlite for Canon. And at 12:40 ET, the Lexar 32GB 150 mb/s 1000x SDHC card goes on sale.

  9. July 15, 2015 at 12:16 pm EDT

    Is the YN600’s deal over?

    1. CanonPriceWatch
      July 15, 2015 at 12:27 pm EDT

yes unless the waitlist becomes available again (like it did for some of the Sony SDHC cards)

    2. David S
      July 15, 2015 at 12:33 pm EDT

Join the waitlist. You should have it added to your cart within a few minutes. Just keep a watch of it.

I was waiting impatiently for the Rokinon 8mm and was disappointed to see the price. The Opteka 6.5mm is the same Samyang lens rebranded and is $150 every day on Amazon. I know Rokinon has slightly better Quality Control than Opteka but don’t think it is worth the price premium.

    1. Chris
      July 15, 2015 at 1:11 pm EDT

But the 6.5 won’t work as well on FF; so ef vs ef-s being part of the price difference, lots more glass.

      1. Ken W.
        July 15, 2015 at 1:28 pm EDT

No, they’re the exact same lens with different paint jobs. Both are EF mount made by Samyang then rebranded as Rokinon, Opteka, Bower, Vivitar, etc… For some strange reason Opteka’s marketing department decided to call it a 6.5mm while all of the many other brands labeled it as 8mm. Both work equally as “well” (it’s relative since even with the hood removed the FF image will still be blocked out) on APS-C or FF. Regardless, the Rokinon and Samyang branded ones have always sold for a little more but even with the huge savings knocking it down to $195, I don’t think it’s worth the extra $45 over the Opteka. If it were a $1000 lens, of course the extra would be worth the QC but for such a cheap lens that’s more than 30% more.

Really, ha. Good to know, I was thinking about it to.. 🙂

The ColorMunki deal included an expired rebate, very disappointed….

    July 15, 2015 at 12:59 pm EDT

The lexar card started at 19.99 then went to 15.96… added it to cart, checked out and it charged me 19.99. Now it seems to be sold out. Not sure if I can get the better deal or not. It’s only $4 but kinda underhanded to change the price back and forth like that.

      July 15, 2015 at 1:11 pm EDT

Yes it’s really confusing. I had to update it multiple times.

Appears that many of these so called deals have little or no inventory in stock. According to Amazon’s website, the 77mm B+W Kaesemann filter is fulfilled by a 3rd party that has 2 units in stock 10 minutes before they go on sale. Sleazy marketing by Amazon in my opinion.

  19. Sid
    July 15, 2015 at 6:06 pm EDT

where is the 77mm B+W Kaesemann filter??

    1. Don
      July 15, 2015 at 6:26 pm EDT

CPW had it listed but it disappeared about the time it was supposed to be available (5:50 EST). It was a circular polarizing filter.

    2. CanonPriceWatch
      July 15, 2015 at 6:53 pm EDT

Yes we saw it two hours before and that’s why we listed it. But when it was supposed to show up, it has disappeared.

      1. Don
        July 15, 2015 at 7:30 pm EDT

Now there’s a 58mm B+W Kaesemann circular polarizing filter allegedly going on deal at 7:50 PM with only 6 in stock. Bet that deal disappears too. There was a short piece on ABC News tonight saying that a lot of people are trashing Amazon on social media because a lot of stuff is selling out in less than 10 minutes. Not a real good way to treat Amazon Prime customers, who I would think are their most loyal customer group.

  20. Vin
    July 15, 2015 at 6:11 pm EDT

I waited so long for that 77mm filter and then now it’s 105mm! Smh.

That 77 mm B+W CPL is available now @ 135.95- just bought one

    1. Vin
      July 16, 2015 at 9:45 am EDT

      Was that the HTC version?

      1. uv
        July 16, 2015 at 10:03 am EDT

yes, “B+W 77mm HTC Kaesemann Circular Polarizer with Multi-Resistant Coating”. I was also able to get an extra $20 off by using my Amazon card, so it came to $115.95 + tax. These never go on sale, so not a bad deal overall 🙂

          July 16, 2015 at 10:06 am EDT

BTW, I’m still seeing this price this am, but it is back-ordered for 2-3 weeks. Just look for the one sold by Amazon.com and not by a 3rd party….good luck!

    July 16, 2015 at 12:54 pm EDT

Special Thanks should go to everyone at CPW for keeping up with this! It was no doubt a fast-paced, frenetic sale that changed all the time! I’ll bet you were all pulling you hair out! 🙂

Incidentally, the “Mystery” camera deal really was the Canon SL1 + 18-55 STM. For those looking for a 2nd camera (like me), this was a really fantastic deal. Only $60-$70 more for a refurbished one as priced during the Father’s Day Sale, plus you got a back and 16GB memory card. Something to watch for for future “mystery” camera bundles.
