The Canon Direct Store has a great deal on PIXMA PRO-100 ink. When you buy the 8 CLI-42 (for PIXMA PRO-100) ink tanks individually, you get 12 “free gifts” of photo paper, totalling 420 sheets of Photo Paper Pro Luster 8.5×11″, and 20 sheets each of Photo Paper Pro Semi-gloss, Photo Paper Pro Platinum, and Photo Paper Pro Premium Matte, all in 8.5×11″.
The individual ink tanks cost $16.99 each for a total of $135.92, not much more expensive than buying the combo kit for $124.99. The (inflated) retail value of all the paper is $359.88.
This isn’t as good of a deal as the previous free 13×19″ paper deal but it’s still very good, especially if you need ink and don’t have a stockpile of 8.5×11″ paper.
I thought I recall they also occasionally run ink sales for the Pro 100. If so, any thoughts as to when they typically run it? I already loaded up on paper from earlier paper sales.
do you think they’ll run a special on the Pixma-pro 10?
Combo pack only gets 50 sheets of paper VS 420 sheets?
If you follow our instructions and add the eight individual cartridges you get 8×50 + 4×20 sheets of paper.
