Will Canon Lens Prices Increase on July 1st? Two Rebates Expiring

Based on both historic trends and information from reliable sources, we suspect that Canon lens prices may increase on July 1st. The two major rebate programs are scheduled to expire on July 1st, and we are told they may be renewed at a lower rebate value. For many popular lenses this will translate to a $50 increase in base price and a $50 decrease in mail-in rebate value (when you purchase two or more lenses). In total, this is an up-to $100 increase in net price per lens.

A price increase at this time would not be surprising; historically, it is typical for Canon to increase their prices through the summer months, giving them room to discount for the holiday season. We will update our blog as we learn more before the rebate expiry on July 1st.

If you are interested to “lock-in” at the current prices, please take advantage of our stellar street prices from Canon USA authorized dealers before July 1st, and before the deals and discounts dry up in the hot summer months.

To take advantage of the mail-in rebate and get the lower “net price”, you must purchase TWO items from the below list in the same transaction.

If you purchase something through a link on our site, we may get a small share of the sale (at no cost to you). Please read our disclosure for more info.
