This year’s Amazon “Prime Day” has a slightly different format. It’s officially on Tuesday July 11th, but the deals will begin at 9 PM ET on Monday July 10th and run for 30 hours. Amazon’s Prime Day will have many exciting deals, many restricted to Amazon Prime members only. Just like the previous two years, CanonPriceWatch will be staying up to watch all the deals.
Don’t expect deals on Canon cameras or lenses on Prime Day. Canon items are restricted by a MAP year-round and Prime Day is no exception. You can browse our live-updating post of last year’s deals for examples of what was available. We expect to see great prices on memory cards, filters, bags, Rokinon lenses, color calibration, studio equipment, and perhaps a Sigma lens or two. Deals sell out quickly, so be prepared to jump on them (or waitlist.) It is also a perfect time to pick up Amazon devices (such as Echo, Fire TV, Fire Tablet, Kindle and subscriptions.)
As many deals are restricted to Amazon Prime members only, now would be a good time to sign-up for a free 30-day trial of Prime if you haven’t yet already. Be sure to check back on Monday 9 PM for the deals!
All helpful. Thanks.

Can’t wait to see Amazon garage sale 3.0
Did they have anything good last year? So far the pre deals aren’t interesting in the least
Pretty much just what CanonPriceWatch said. Rokinon lenses, B+W filters, SanDisk memory cards. I got a good deal on an LED light panel and there were several photography books on sale.
I guess the real deals are Tuesday then. I’ll keep an eye out
Is there anyway to get my phone to beep when you post on Facebook? So I know there is a great deal.
I don’t know if you can get Facebook to send you notifications when we post. Alternatively, you can sign-up for e-mail notifications, follow us on twitter, or use an RSS feed reader — these options are all on our website.
Go to their page. Click on follow and then notifications and check all posts. Also before you get into notifications there is a “see first” option. It will show their posts before others on your news feed.
Jason Pierce thanks I have that done already. My hope was there would be a way to get Facebook the make a sound when CPW makes a post. They have a lot of great deals and I want to make sure I don’t miss their posts. 😎
CanonPriceWatch.com thanks will do
Since the beginning of 2016, I’ve noticed Amazon has very rarely had quality name brand products on Lightning Deals, at least as far as electronics, computers, and camera supplies are concerned. It seems like Prime Day, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday were the few times they did. If that’s the case again this year, then things like filters and memory cards will be hot items.
